Learn About Pumpkins
A pumpkin is a type of fruit that grows from the pumpkin plant. Pumpkins can come in many different shapes, sizes, and colors, although orange is one of the most familiar colors. They have a stem on top and are usually covered with ridges that run from the top to the bottom.
Pumpkins grow on long vines and begin as small green fruits after the plant flowers. As the pumpkin continues to grow and mature, it may change color and become ready to harvest. Inside a pumpkin are seeds and soft pulp, which are also useful for learning about the different parts of a pumpkin.
